New homes buyers offered 'real deal'

Barratt is offering prospective property buyers what it claims are straight-forward cash discounts on new homes.

The developer's Merica branch has launched an initiative called the Real Deal whereby would-be homebuyers are presented each week with a "significant" cash discount on a property at its Park View Development in Coventry.

This week's Real Deal is offered on a two-bedroom Falkirk-style apartment with fitted carpets which has been reduced in price by £12,000 from £124,750 to £112,750.

Chris Ashmore, sales director for Barratt, explained: "The Real Deal is a new scheme which has been specifically designed for purchasers who are looking to buy a home with a simple cash saving rather than taking advantage of our other moving packages."

Meanwhile, Barratt West Midlands has unveiled a new housing development in Birmingham designed with larger families in mind.

Lydiate Place, which is situated on Island Road in Handsworth, comprises six and seven-bedroom houses as well as four and five-bedroom properties.
