26/06/2008 :: Investment show a must for property professionals

The UK's largest property investment conference will be held in London this September.

And more than 15 per cent of last year's visitors had £200,000 or more worth of 'liquid' capital to invest.

The Property Investor Show will run from September 19-21st and 150 exhibitors have signed up, with that number expected to double in the coming months.

Housebuilders, estate agents and investment specialists from around the globe are expected to attend, taking advantage of the conferences networking opportunities.

Nick Clark, managing director of the Property Investor Show, said: `The Property Investor Show is widely recognised for bringing in a high calibre of serious investors, who have a substantial amount of 'liquid' cash available.`

`This is particularly important in the current climate,` he added.

According to research released earlier this month by the Construction Products Association (CPA), the number of new housing starts for 2008 dropped below 1945 levels.

The CPA said the government needed to adhere to the capital investment programme laid out in its comprehensive spending review if the investment crisis was to be averted.
