This site was allocated in Basildon District Council’s Local Plan. Situated within easy walking distance of Wickford mainline railway station, with trains to St Pancras in 45 minutes, the original promotion centred around an Outline scheme for 200 units, which was refused at Committee.

After much negotiation, the application was again presented at Basildon District Council’s Committee and was eventually approved for 152 residential units in November 2010.
